Waterbase or aqueous coatings fulfill a variety of needs for the printing, converting and packaging industries. They can be used to provide gloss, abrasion resistance, controlled COF and many other functional properties. Their quick speed of dry leads to fast press speeds and turn around times. These coatings are also "green" or environmentally friendly as the VOC content is generally very low or negligible in quantity. In addition, waterbase coated paper can be recycled very easily.
